Paul Mabe, PhD

Dr. Mabe received his doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Florida State University before becoming a professor at Augusta University and Medical College of Georgia. He has given presentations nationally and internationally and published more than 60 articles, chapters and abstracts in areas of clinical and pediatric psychology and recovery-oriented mental health care. Dr. Mabe served as the director of Project GREAT (Georgia Recovery-based Educational Approach to Treatment), helping design and implement workshops and recovery-oriented practice tools for AU and MCG, as well as other public mental health services throughout Georgia. He continues to provide clinical child psychological services at Wellstar, affiliated with Medical College of Georgia, and consults for Georgia Cancer Center and the counseling services for the Employee-Faculty Assistance Program.
