Dr. Dusseault is a urologist with Wellstar Medical Group and works at several Wellstar facilities. A native of Florida, he went to the University of Florida where he received his Bachelor of Science as well as a minor in music performance. He then went on to Emory University School of Medicine to attain his Doctor of Medicine, followed by his internship and residency training at the University of Kentucky. He and his family moved back to the Atlanta area in 2011 where they now reside.
Due to his training experience he serves patients with many urologic needs, including those that benefit from the use of the da Vinci robot surgical system. He specializes in treating urologic cancers (with a strong focus on prostate cancer and kidney cancer), stone disease, men's health (especially BPH or enlarged prostate), and women's health (including urgency incontinence/overactive bladder). He also treats many disorders in the field of reconstructive urology, and is skilled in minimally invasive treatment options for other urologic disorders (specifically laparoscopic surgery). He believes in utilizing "tried and true" methods as well as the latest technology to improve patient outcomes, using an individualized plan for each patient he sees.
He is one of the leaders in his group for the treatment of prostate cancer, including those who need to be treated with surgery utilizing the nerve-sparing technique with the robotic technology and those who benefit from a multi-disciplinary approach for advanced disease. Dr. Dusseault is a member of many national organizations including the American Urological Association, Medical Association of Georgia, the Society of Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgeons, and the Endourological Society. He serves on multiple committees through the Wellstar Health System for both inpatient and outpatient care purposes.
He is an avid runner and believes in the benefits of nutrition and exercise to help prevent disease and improve outcomes. In his spare time he is dedicated to his family and enjoys time spent outdoors and with his church.

Six Steps to Reduce Your Cancer Risk
When seeking medical advice, many people turn to the internet. This wealth of information can be very helpful in uncovering the cause of common symptoms and providing general health tips. Wellstar Brings Robotic Surgery to the Paulding Community
For the first time, people in Paulding County and nearby communities have access to leading-edge robotic surgery close to home. Wellstar Health System launched a new robotic surgery program at Wellstar Paulding Medical Center.
“We’re thrilled to offer access to game-changing da Vinci robotic surgery at Wellstar Paulding Medical Center for the first time in history,” said Ralph Turner, Wellstar senior vice president and president of Wellstar Paulding Medical Center.
Robotic technology enables surgeons to make highly precise incisions smaller than the human hand can make — as tiny as a keyhole. As a result, people who have robotic surgery typically experience less blood loss, recovery pain and scarring.
“Robotic surgeries are minimally-invasive, which typically means shorter hospital stays and faster recoveries,” said Dr. Beau Dusseault, a urologist who leads the robotics program at Wellstar Paulding Medical Center.
He performed the first robotic surgery at the hospital, assisted by the $1.8 million da Vinci Xi Surgical System, on August 22. Dr. Dusseault has performed more than 440 robotic surgeries for prostate cancer and urinary tract conditions.
Experienced urologists and general surgeons are the first to offer robotic surgery at Wellstar Paulding Medical Center, primarily treating:
Cancers such as prostate, kidney and bladder cancers
Conditions in the kidneys, bladder and urinary tract
Hernias and other conditions that require general surgery
The surgical team named the robot “Rosie,” a reference to the robotic maid from the 1960s sitcom “The Jetsons.” It is one of 14 robotic systems patients can benefit from at nine Wellstar locations.
“While our robotic surgery program is new to Paulding, we have high-volume robotic experience that we are bringing from the other Wellstar hospitals,” Dr. Dusseault added.
