Wellstar Breast Surgery

Lori Plummer, MSN, WHNP-BC, is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner specializing in cancer genetics, breast cancer risk assessment and breast health. Through Wellstar’s High Risk Breast Health Clinic, part of the Comprehensive Breast Health Program, she cares for women who may have an increased risk of developing breast cancer.

Lori works closely with breast surgeons, radiologists, genetic counselors and nurse navigators to provide coordinated, patient-centered care. Her clinical focus includes hereditary cancer risk assessment, genetic testing coordination, breast cancer prevention and long-term breast health management. She also helps patients understand results from tools such as the Tyrer-Cuzick risk assessment, which estimates a person’s lifetime risk for breast cancer, and partners with them to create personalized plans focused on prevention, early detection and lifelong wellness.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing in Philadelphia. Lori is an active member of the National Consortium of Breast Centers and the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health.

Lori is passionate about empowering women with education and proactive care so they can make informed, confident healthcare decisions throughout their breast health journey.

Outside of work, Lori enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active and supporting initiatives that advance women’s health and cancer prevention.
