It is uniquely equipped to handle all medical emergencies—from colds and flu to lacerations, broken bones, head injuries, sports injuries, bumps, bruises, rashes and more. Children are not just small adults. And the emergencies they experience require a response designed especially for them. The Children’s Emergency Department is staffed by pediatric health care providers dedicated to the care of patients under age 18.
