It is uniquely equipped to handle all medical emergencies – from colds and flu to lacerations, broken bones, head injuries, sports injuries, bumps, bruises, rashes and more. Children are not just small adults. And the emergencies they experience require a response designed especially for them. The Children’s Emergency Department is staffed by pediatric health care providers dedicated to the care of patients under age 18.
