Welcome to the Philip Israel Breast Center, where our goal is to treat your breast care needs with a compassionate and caring focus while using cutting-edge technology. Our practice was founded in 1986 by Dr. Philip Israel and was the first facility of its kind in the Southeast. Dr. Shroff, Dr. Goodwin, and Dr. Mattison are committed to diagnosing and treating each patient.

An abnormal mammogram or ultrasound can be frightening. From reviewing your imaging results to performing your breast biopsy in our office to explaining your pathology results, we will assist you through each step of this process.

At the Philip Israel Breast Center, we provide an integrated multidisciplinary approach to treating your breast health needs and coordinate care with primary care physicians, gynecologists and oncologists. Throughout your treatment and follow-up care, we will serve as a home base for your breast health needs.

Genetic Testing

We evaluate your family and personal history, using the NCCN (National Comprehensive Cancer Network) guidelines, to determine if we need to refer you to a genetic counselor. A genetic counselor is a health professional with a degree in medical genetics and counseling. Genetic testing is typically performed using blood or saliva.
