Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA)
and Implementation Strategy
To assess the current health and well-being of the community served by its legacy hospitals (WellStar Cobb, Douglas, Kennestone, Paulding and Windy Hill), WellStar Health System conducted a joint Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) collaborating with a diverse coalition of community stakeholders and partnering with the Georgia Health Policy Center to leverage its research for other Atlanta-area hospitals and health systems.
Significant community health needs and the CHNA research process are detailed in the 2016 report. Accompanying the CHNA is the Implementation Strategy, an actionable blueprint to address the prioritized health needs of the community to improve access to care and promote healthy lifestyles.
