Yeah, I was happy with everything except for the payment amount. Y'all charge too much. People can't afford to pay $250 for a visit. Plus, if you got self-pay, you got to pay for blood work and all that. Other than that, I'm happy.

All my answers being yes, definitely were on behalf of Dr. Conkright and his staff. He is the same caring, capable physician he's always been. I was the first patient when Family Medical Associates of Augusta was formed in 1981 by Dr. John Baxley who left decades ago when he moved and Dr. Conkright bought the practice. I realize there are many changes since AU Health bought the practice and now Wellstar has purchased AU Health. Patient care for all of us is my concern. I do appreciate that the processes have and continue to change. Even though I'm 80 I have successfully navigated My Chart (with help) and respect the new policies. If I can just make one observation and suggestion. Making wrist labels seems to be a laborious, albeit automated process for the most part, that's not necessary. I realize how important that is for inpatients but for a doctors appointment it's counter intuitive. The staff that I ask about it agrees. No, I did not mention this to Dr. Conkright. I wish to conclude that I remain confident and thankful for Dr. Conkright and Wellstar notwithstanding the changes we all have to get used to. After all it's our health care that's so very important.
