Only issue was I did the prepay for my copay. They said at check in they didn't see I paid. I paid again. Charged twice. I called the office the next day to see about a refund they said I have to wait to see if insurance will pay first. Did prepay before no problem. Unsure what happened this time. Will not prepay again.

I am very grateful that the practice is open on Saturdays. When you have an emergency like I did with an unexpected rash, it was nice to be able to see a provider in privacy rather than having to sit in an emergency room or urgent care with a whole bunch of people that had COVID and flu.

I must have a "Hypochondriac" note on my chart or something. Dr. Tsitsi was lovely, but in general, the whole practice gives a kind of dismissive air. I've previously made my health concerns known and was treated with such replies as "Stay hydrated" and "Try eating less red meat" after I mentioned I'm vegetarian.

I came in for recurring bladder infection and injuries sustained during car accident. I was told I couldn't be treated for injuries sustained during accident because of liability since it happened in a car accident. When asked where I'd have to go to have injuries checked out, I was told ED. I have been a patient of this practice for years. The fact that I couldn't receive help at my PCP office when injured blows my mind. I went to my trusted provider and was shown that protecting themselves from liability was more important than helping the patient. The NP did give me 2 prescriptions to help with pain and inflammation, but only peeked under sweater at shoulder. No exam of shoulder, X-rays, etc were performed. I went to Piedmont Urgent Care today (day after my office visit), and they were shocked that I was denied thorough exam/treatment by my PCP. Thankfully, I was able to get X-rays and an exam of injuries at Piedmont. The fact that my PCP office denied helping me due to liability/insurance concerns (insurance related to accident), but urgent care was more than willing to examine my injuries leaves me feeling like I can't count on this office. Also, after labs came back showing I still had a bladder infection, provider said I'd need to do a full 7 days of meds this time to make sure infection was taken care of. Upon receiving my prescription, I saw it was for 5 days. I immediately messaged through MyChart to check on the discrepancy, and received a response to let them know how I was doing after 5 days. None of my interactions yesterday made me think I was in good hands at this office. I don't know why there is a policy in place that ties providers' hands when caring for (or frankly, not caring for) a patient that has been in a wreck. It's unfair to the providers and the patients.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Wellstar Acworth Family Medicine; however, I don't want my providers to be bombarded with new patients. I loved Dr. Bourne so much, I recommended him to friends & family which ultimately made it difficult to get appointments. "T" is excellent & I look forward to meeting Dr. Vinoba in May.

Its not just about getting me out of pain but more importantly that the team is listening. There is lots of anxiety and decision making by families about ones health. In a world where no one is listening i find that this was the strength of the team. Get to know me, my lifestyle and what got me to the care center. I was taken back how everyone slowed down and ensured that i was part of everything and not looked upon as the next person on the chart waiting. Great team.

Its not just about getting me out of pain but more importantly that the team is listening. There is lots of anxiety and decision making by families about ones health. In a world where no one is listening i find that this was the strength of the team. Get to know me, my lifestyle and what got me to the care center. I was taken back how everyone slowed down and ensured that i was part of everything and not looked upon as the next person on the chart waiting. Great team.

Also, after labs came back showing I still had a bladder infection, provider said I'd need to do a full 7 days of meds this time to make sure infection was taken care of. Upon receiving my prescription, I saw it was for 5 days. I immediately messaged through MyChart to check on the discrepancy, and received a response to let them know how I was doing after 5 days. None of my interactions yesterday made me think I was in good hands at this office. I don't know why there is a policy in place that ties providers' hands when caring for (or frankly, not caring for) a patient that has been in a wreck. It's unfair to the providers and the patients.

I am very grateful that the practice is open on Saturdays. When you have an emergency like I did with an unexpected rash, it was nice to be able to see a provider in privacy rather than having to sit in an emergency room or urgent care with a whole bunch of people that had COVID and flu.

Only issue was I did the prepay for my copay. They said at check in they didn't see I paid. I paid again. Charged twice. I called the office the next day to see about a refund they said I have to wait to see if insurance will pay first. Did prepay before no problem. Unsure what happened this time. Will not prepay again.
