Currently, I'm battling a prolonged pesky, respiratory event. After the Urgent Care visit, I sought add'l. medical care two days later by a nurse at my PCP's office and was tested for viral and other conditions. I was provided an antibiotic and some reassurance that I did not have a more severe condition. As my son seems to have the same illness and was seen at the same Urgent Care and provided NO medicine, I don't feel we were provided adequate assessment at the Urgent Care. As the PA mentioned, I could come back and provided vigorous feedback if his Rx's of Cetirizine, Benzonatate, Medrol Pac, didn't work. Well, as compared to the status of my son's battle with the same Resp. infection - the antibiotics have given me an easier time of it - time will tell. This reminds me of my 9/2023 multiple visits - when it took repeated visits to determine my husband & I had Covid - -if that's your business model - clearly money is more important than the health of the patient and community.
