The primary care office was great, but I had a much less enjoyable experience at the lab. I don't think the technician washed her hands. She seemed like maybe she was just not very skilled. The tourniquet was too low, she used a butterfly needle and still caused me quite a bit of discomfort. I was a phlebotomist many years ago, I am not a difficult stick. My arm still hurts over a week later, and the bruising has just gone away. Also, the bathroom was dirty.

I didn't feel confident that the prior provider listened to my issues or requests in a positive way that made me open to ask questions about my health care. Today, NP Colon went above and beyond in providing care with impeccable bedside manner. She was thorough, answer all questions I had and facilitated that communication that can sometimes be difficult between patient and provider. Excellent work-she saved the practice losing a patient; I'll be requesting to be seen by her from now on.
