I was disappointed in my visit. I assumed it was a follow-up from my lab work last summer. I spent more time with the nurse than I did with the doctor. We never went over my lab results. I'm glad I looked at them on the patient portal myself or I wouldn't have known about any of it. All the doctor asked was if I was in pain, needed any refills or had any questions. My total time with her was five minutes. I traveled an hour and spent $39 copay for that.

Dr. Makhdoom was the second rheumatologist I had been to and the only one who listened to me. She had not even done labs yet. But, she did not let me leave her office without prescribing me something for pain. She asked what were other doctors doing to help me. I explained that it felt as though they were just passing me around. She and her staff are excellent!

Only issue was the day before my appointment, granted I made the appointment months ago. My appointment was rescheduled for 1 hour earlier without my knowledge. I gave myself a buffer since I hadn't been there before, so it still worked out for me to be seen. But I feel like it may have cost me some time with the physician and I really wanted to get the most out of this appointment. So I really wish that my appointment hadn't been rescheduled the day prior without my knowledge.
