Dr. Oyola is a native of the country of Colombia where in 1990 he received his medical degree with honors at the Metropolitan University in Barranquilla, Colombia. In July 1992, he came to the United States to continue his studies in medicine as a resident in internal medicine at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, University Hospital of the State University of New York in Brooklyn. Dr. Oyola went on to complete his fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at the University of Tennessee in Memphis.
Upon completion of his fellowship in 2001, Dr. Oyola joined Northwest Georgia Oncology Centers, P.C. at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital where he currently evaluates and treats patients while actively participating in Clinical Trials and Research as Co-PI for NGOC clinical trials.
Dr. Oyola is the past chairman Wellstar Health System Cancer Committee and Wellstar Cobb Hospital Credentials Committee. He is currently serving as part of the Wellstar Oncology Cabinet. He is also a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, the Cobb County Medical Society and the Medical Association of Georgia.

I hate to have to go to monthly treatment at Kennesaw infusion center but the staff goes out of their way to make sure I am comfortable and they give me the confidence I am receiving the best help I deserve.

Dr Oyola is the best He operated on me for liver cancer many years ago and has kept me cancer free all of these years. I can not thank him enough. I will be leaving gorClrveland to be with son and family. Cleveland Clinic has the high reputation, but I honestly believe they will not be any better than what I have bee.n given here.. This visit my blood draw took place in the 1st floor lab due to high volume. The lab tach chose my right arm for the draw. She missed the vein 7 times. She then used my wrist vein. During the process she held the tube 6" above my wrist and complained with the 2nd vial that the blood was slow. So I told her to lower the tube which then sped up the process. I have a 7"x3.5" bruise down my wrist. I will never allow this tech to touch me. I do not have her name but you can get it off my records.
