About Michael Riley, MD
Dr. Riley, a cardiac electrophysiologist, received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry and philosophy from the Rockhurst University in 1996, and went on to attend medical school at Georgetown University. After completing his internship and residency at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, he completed his cardiovascular disease training at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He then spent two years at Emory University.
Dr. Riley is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and cardiac electrophysiology. He worked with Solaris Heart for two years before joining us at Wellstar Center for Cardiovascular Care.

I have been going to Emory for many years but recently changed to Wellstar because I was not happy with the care given at Emory. The drs and staff at Wellstar are far superior to Emory.

Visiting Dr. Riley is always a pleasant experience. It is nice to know that even though we only see each other once a year he always remembers me when he comes into the room and greets me as a friend. The staff is wonderful and friendly also.

The day of your procedure, you're supposed to be there at 10:30 in the morning. The day of your procedure, you're supposed to be there at 10:30 in the morning. I didn't know that. Did they call and tell you that? No. Well, how'd you know it? I just knew it. I stopped at home and started. You've had it done once. The procedure is at 2:30, I mean, 12:30. I thought he said it'd take 2 hours.

Dr Riley has been my dr for prox 9 years and is an extremely important member of my health care team. He is an excellent communicator and an excellent listener which is not necessarily the norm in today's physicians. Hi nursing support staff also raises the bar on excellence in providing care for the patients.

Yeah, the doctor is extremely competent, but the wait time is takes too long. It took me about over an hour for the wait time for my appointment and staff seems to be not as competent as I would like to see.
