I was very impressed with the urgent care in Powder Springs with one, how I was greeted with the reception as I entered and asked for assistance and the staff is assisting in getting my information and then I was very impressed with Mary, the doctor, the physician assistant that came in with her confidence and acute awareness of her and listening characteristics and knew and was able to identify my problem and offered a solution. I wanted to thank AllStar.

This was very convenient and I got an appointment online very very quickly. Both the nurse and the physicians assistant were great and solved my ear problem. I highly recommend this Wellstar Urgent Care.

Yes, I came in and I was heard, but there were things on my printout that said we went over that we did not address. And I was given a prescription for prednisone, 20 milligrams and doxycycline, but no tests were run to make sure nothing else was going on. I had a temperature of 88.8 and my normal temperature is, I mean, sorry, 98.8 and my normal temperature is 97.6. So I was running a temperature for myself, but nobody looked at my chart or took count of it. I didn't even hear what my temperature was, to be honest. So I probably was running a fever when I came in. I had to call urgent care a couple of times.

Imaging was negative and my pain issues were not resolved after 4 hours of waiting. After I left I began to understand that the pain was coming from my back. Which the provider said possibly that the back could be the problem. The pain was so bad that I didn't connect the two, even though we discuss my back. An hour after I left I called to talk with someone to see if I could get medication for the inflammation in my back. Possibly a prednisone dose pack. The staff did not call back till the next day and that provider was not on and the on call provider stated since the provider I saw did not document anything about my back so she could not order anything. The provider diagnoses was dysuria and I told the provider and the nurse that I did not have any pain on urination and my urinalysis came back negative and was crystal clear. I was disappointed that only an hour after I left and sitting in the office for 4 hours that I never got any help. I'll think twice about using Wellstar urgent care. The doctors I have seen there have been great. I think PA's are overly cautious. It's just been my experience as a nurse who worked at Wellstar as a nurse for 30 years and had work in hospital nursing for 38 years. I have plenty of documentation about my back problems in the past in My Chart.
