Dr. Wyatt was a National Merit Scholar at Florida State University and graduated with honors from the University of Florida College of Medicine. He trained in general surgery in Atlanta at Georgia Baptist Medical Center. He founded the Atlanta General Surgery practice in 1992. Dr. Wyatt is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and has a special interest in laparoscopic/minimally invasive surgery, cancer surgery and gastrointestinal surgery.

I waited 40 minutes after my appt time and only after asking one of the nursing staff if the doctor was aware I was there I was told matter if factory the doctors running behind he knows you are here and it is ok he be in shorty. I stared it's not ok or acceptable to have me waiting this long and for no one to at least inform me he's running late. I again was told like I said the doctors running late he be in to see you shortly I started again it's not ok to keep me waiting and I am not happy and for you to tell a patient that it's not ok as I stated the doctor should not have over booked his patient load. The doctor apologized but as I told him his staff should never talk to his patients in the manner I was spoken to nor was it ok for me to be kept waiting that long and to not at least be informed he was running late.

He checked on me every day while I was in the hospital. I was there for almost two months. And afterwards, he helped with my wound care, even any concerns I have about the healing process. I would recommend him to anyone I know.

Dr. Wyatt was very good at explaining the situation that I was in, the possible alternatives and what the ramifications would be for each, and left the choices of what to do pretty much up to me. Of course, I consult my care team since I'm a kidney dialysis patient and look at others for advice who are also very knowledgeable in the field. But it was a very, very good experience. He treated me with respect, spent time with me, follow-up appointment was very, very good, and dealing with some post-op issues that are going to require a week or two of following a different regimen.
