Receptionists, all of the receptionists, are rude and ill-mannered.

The staff was courteous and helpful. There was only a brief wait before I was called to begin the appointment. (This is in great contrast to my experience with most appointments with other specialties. The overall long wait times to be seen has been responsible for my husband moving his healthcare from MCG). He is persistent in trying to have me transfer elsewhere, too!) This comment does not pertain to this eye appointment, but is a serious problem almost across the board in our experience. That and inability to get urgently needed appointments scheduled for months, including getting needed prescriptions for refills! I have such an extensive history with MCG spanning many years. If that was not the case, I, too, would seek healthcare somewhere else like Columbia or Charleston!

I think the check-in process needs to be better because when people have eight o'clock appointments and they only have one person, two people up front, that's not good. And also, if there's a charge for a service outside of the recommended services, like a refraction-free fee, I think the customer needs to know in advance, not when they come back to pick up their prescription or when they pick up their prescription, they're asked for $50. Thank you.
