I was extremely nervous because I have never been to an OB/GYN before. I drove an hour to go to Dr. Hensarling, because she was highly recommended and for how nervous I was, someone who was kind and helpful was very important to me. She exceeded my expectations, made me feel more than comfortable, and she will definitely be my OB for all the years to come. I am so happy with how kind the office staff was as well. I will gladly drive the hour every time and look forward to being in her care when I grow my family.

Overall, I had a positive experience with my visit, and everyone was kind and professional. I do have one suggestion that I hope will help improve the patient experience. Before the student entered, I was asked whether I was comfortable with a student asking me questions, and I agreed. However, I wasn't asked whether I had a preference for a male or female student. The student was male, and he also remained in the room during my examination. I realized afterward that I felt uncomfortable with that, but I also felt put on the spot and wasn't sure how to voice my preference in the moment. It would be helpful if patients were specifically asked whether they are comfortable with a male or female student, and whether they are comfortable having the student present during the physical examination. Giving patients those options up front would help them make an informed decision without feeling awkward or pressured. Thank you for considering this feedback. I hope it helps make future patients feel even more comfortable during their visit.

She went above and beyond to make sure that I understood the plan going forward. My visit notes were documented quickly and I was able to go back and see in great detail everything we talked about. Front office staff were so kind and helpful. The triage nurse as well as the lab technician were both so kind and personable. Dr. Hensarling listened attentively to my heath concerns. She went above and beyond to make sure that I understood the plan going forward. My visit notes were documented quickly and I was able to go back and see in great detail everything we talked about. The student was male, and he also remained in the room during my examination. I realized afterward that I felt uncomfortable with that, but I also felt put on the spot and wasn't sure how to voice my preference in the moment. It would be helpful if patients were specifically asked whether they are comfortable with a male or female student, and whether they are comfortable having the student present during the physical examination. Giving patients those options up front would help them make an informed decision without feeling awkward or pressured. Thank you for considering this feedback.
