About Keith Rott, MD
Dr. Rott was introduced to rheumatology at an early age when a sibling was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. He enjoys working with patients to understand their diagnosis and their treatment so they can achieve the best possible outcome. He enjoys staying up to date with the latest advances in diagnosis and treatment of rheumatologic diseases, but still believes in the value of listening to the patient and obtaining a complete history and performing a thorough exam in order to establish the proper diagnosis. He treats a full range of rheumatologic conditions, including all types of inflammatory arthritis such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic autoimmune diseases such as lupus, crystalline arthropathies such as gout, inflammatory muscle diseases, vasculitis, and osteoporosis.
A native of Florida, Dr. Rott has lived in Georgia since moving to Atlanta to attend Emory College. He is board certified in rheumatology. He is a past president of the Georgia Society of Rheumatology and is a fellow of the American College of Rheumatology. When not in the office, he enjoys reading, any outdoor activity, and spending time with his wife, son, and 2 dogs.

It is always a pleasure to have nurse Lynn take my vitals and talk to me. Her cheerfulness and calm demeanor takes away any anxiety I may have visiting the Dr. Dr. Rott is the best and brought me through a painful experience several years ago.

I honestly don't believe anything will come of this because I suspect Dr. Rott treats most of his patients the same way he treated me. I've been dealing with dizziness and nausea for four years and have brought it up repeatedly to various doctors. Instead of a diagnosis or help, I was subjected to countless tests and ultimately told, "We don't know what else to do." Eventually, on my own, I discovered that dizziness and nausea are potential symptoms of Sjögren's syndrome. When I mentioned this, Dr. Rott immediately began shaking his head, dismissing what I said, and responded, "If you had a vestibular issue, the ENT would've found it", as if doctors are infallible and incapable of missing a diagnosis. It was condescending and invalidating. I'm tired of arrogant physicians like Dr. Rott who dismiss my lived experience, ignore my input, and do nothing to actually help. I deserve better care than this.

In addition, he requested additional bloodwork in order to ensure his prognosis is correct. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs to see a rheumatologist.
