About Keith Rott, MD
Dr. Rott was introduced to rheumatology at an early age when a sibling was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. He enjoys working with patients to understand their diagnosis and their treatment so they can achieve the best possible outcome. He enjoys staying up to date with the latest advances in diagnosis and treatment of rheumatologic diseases, but still believes in the value of listening to the patient and obtaining a complete history and performing a thorough exam in order to establish the proper diagnosis. He treats a full range of rheumatologic conditions, including all types of inflammatory arthritis such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic autoimmune diseases such as lupus, crystalline arthropathies such as gout, inflammatory muscle diseases, vasculitis, and osteoporosis.
A native of Florida, Dr. Rott has lived in Georgia since moving to Atlanta to attend Emory College. He is board certified in rheumatology. He is a past president of the Georgia Society of Rheumatology and is a fellow of the American College of Rheumatology. When not in the office, he enjoys reading, any outdoor activity, and spending time with his wife, son, and 2 dogs.

This was my 1st visit with this practice. Front office was very pleasant. Nurse Lydia was absolutely wonderful, friendly and made me feel very much at ease. Dr Rott was very thorough, answered all of my questions and was not pushy about doing unnecessary test. I would definitely refer anyone to this group.

The paperwork aspect was horrible!! I have been both a Piedmont and Wellstar patient for over 20 years and everything is on MyChart. All of my medical records were also sent to you prior to the appointment. Why then do I have to answer all of the same questions such as which surgeries have I had? To make it even worse, I did the full online check-in, which took quite a bit of time, only to find out that all of it was completely useless. Supposedly, none of that information can even be accessed by the staff. Everything had to be done again on paper after I arrived. It was extremely frustrating. Actually, none of it should be necessary. It would be incredibly helpful if MyChart could maintain a summary section that keeps all of the pertinent information, which each medical office can print and provide to doctors before seeing patients. It would still be great, even if patients were responsible for keeping that section updated. Part of the on-line check-in process could be an instruction to review the information in MyChart to make sure it is up to date and correct. It could also be printed for review along with the pages that need to be signed. It would also be much more accurate. Items such as diagnoses and surgeries would become part of the summary as they happen, with corresponding dates. Asking me now the date of my tonsillectomy (around age 5???), or when I received the RA diagnosis (about 20 years ago???) is silly. Every individual should have such a summary that is accessible and accumulates data beginning on the day they are born.

I do not think that you can improve the care I get at Dr. Rott's office. He is one of the few doctors that I have that truly listens, and I think he's wonderful. He's helped me a lot, and I've been to other rheumatologists in the past, and he's great.

Dr Rott and his associates are upmost professionals. I feel like they all work together seamlessly to care for the patient. I find that he is always very knowledgeable about any care I have with other providers and also gives a throughout evaluation every time.

The staff is nice and friendly and always smiling. They are polite to the patients and they care. Dr. Rott nurse Mrs. Leah is the best. She always listens to me and give good advice to me. Love the staff there.
