Katherine McArthur is the only provider who has ever listened to me and actually hears me. She's the one who has finally figured me out and got me where I need to be. Having autoimmune diseases means a life full of medical gaslighting from many providers and hospitals, many ER visits, and many specialists. Katherine McArthur is definitely a Unicorn. I hope WellStar feels lucky and honored to have someone who cares about her patients the way she does because us patients value and respect her as she does to us! Coming from a patient who has cried in other offices after being told during her 2 minute conversation with the provider that she's fine once again and the provider have no remorse at the sight of hopeless tears coming down her face... Katherine is truly a great person and doesn't come to work everyday just for a paycheck, she shows up for us. The first interaction can cloud your whole visit so, they need to be pleasant. I was there because I'm sick. I don't need a negative reaction to my form of payment.

When I checked in for my 9am appt my provider was listed as being on time I waited about half an hour until I approached the front desk and then they told me that Katherine was running an hour behind. I overheard that it was an issue with the rooms and the organization of the patients not that the doctors were necessarily running behind. My time is valuable. I would've appreciated a call letting me know not to arrive until 10. I could've rearranged my workday. Again, I am very happy with the care I received. I just think the wait time was excessive.
