Dr. Joseph Saulsbury received his bachelor of science degree from Morehouse College and his medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery internship at the University of Tennessee Hospital and completed his residency at the University of Tennesse Erlanger Hospital.
He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Nurse Sasha and Dr. Salisbury were really, really good. They got me in and out. Nurse Sasha was really gentle in giving me my injections for my pain that I actually came in for, and Dr. Salisbury was very efficient and swift and quick, and I thoroughly appreciate that because it was a Saturday and I just needed to get in and get out and get some help on what was wrong with me, so I really appreciate that.

Lady up front wasn't mean but definitely got the vibe she don't like her job or just not a people person. I was called up front and was told my insurance was denied. I told her my daughters Medicaid has been active sense 2020. Before I could finish my statement she cutting me off throwing a paper in my face saying it's denied. What's was funny is she was so confident in shutting me down. She didn't care what I had to say to answer her initial statement about it being denied. I'm not sure if it happens often but don't treat me like "OFTEN". Yall should not rely solely on a computer system and a printed piece of paper. I had to call my provider just to give her another number to run which was on the original paper. Again no she wasn't mean but she can definitely have a better attitude and approach with people considering I was right and she was wrong!!!

The blood pressure reading was different from the report given to me, the written reports. And it was verbalized by the attendant, which was lower than what reflected on the forms that I received. It was 190 something, over 90, that was on the form. But the attendant told me a much lower score. And then I went to Publix and I took my pressure and it was much lower, 122.07. Secondly, the attendant squeezed my arm to take the blood pressure extremely high, I mean too tight, very tightly. And then she redid it again, immediately, not on another arm.

The medical staff was very nice and caring. They made me feel welcome and comfortable. My nurse was awesome. It was a breath of fresh air especially being from out of town. The front desk receptionist could've been more interested in the patients than her and security talking and watching tv

My thing is that I had to wait too long. I think I had to wait about an hour and a half. So I was having some problems. But other than that, the service was great. But I think the wait was just too long.

Yes, overall positive experience, especially with the medical team, the nurse and the doctor were really helpful. I am getting better, except one of the medications prescribed kind of makes me feel a little sick or achy. So, I would just offer that. And the other thing I would offer is the wait time was too long. It was like two hours or two and a half hours. And if there is some way that the front office team receptionist can communicate by text or email to let me know when my time is nearing so that I don't have to sit in a crowded lobby with other people who are sick. So text communication would be helpful. Thank you.

This is my 3rd time encountering him as a physician and he is consistently awesome. Maybe people wouldn't hate going to the Dr's so much if they were all like him.

The blood pressure reading was different from the report given to me, the written reports. And it was verbalized by the attendant, which was lower than what reflected on the forms that I received. It was 190 something, over 90, that was on the form. But the attendant told me a much lower score. And then I went to Publix and I took my pressure and it was much lower, 122.07. Secondly, the attendant squeezed my arm to take the blood pressure extremely high, I mean too tight, very tightly. And then she redid it again, immediately, not on another arm.

Lady up front wasn't mean but definitely got the vibe she don't like her job or just not a people person. I was called up front and was told my insurance was denied. I told her my daughters Medicaid has been active sense 2020. Before I could finish my statement she cutting me off throwing a paper in my face saying it's denied. What's was funny is she was so confident in shutting me down. She didn't care what I had to say to answer her initial statement about it being denied. I'm not sure if it happens often but don't treat me like "OFTEN". Yall should not rely solely on a computer system and a printed piece of paper. I had to call my provider just to give her another number to run which was on the original paper. Again no she wasn't mean but she can definitely have a better attitude and approach with people considering I was right and she was wrong!!!

Nurse Sasha and Dr. Salisbury were really, really good. They got me in and out. Nurse Sasha was really gentle in giving me my injections for my pain that I actually came in for, and Dr. Salisbury was very efficient and swift and quick, and I thoroughly appreciate that because it was a Saturday and I just needed to get in and get out and get some help on what was wrong with me, so I really appreciate that.
