My after visit paperwork states I was told what to expect but honestly I left with a lot of medication. Not many answers and no idea of a timeframe on when I might feel better. I have the same amount of issues and pain and am not sure if I should be concerned. The paperwork says to contact my provider in 2 days...or the emergency room. Just definitely felt I could have left with more understanding. I was unable to speak so couldn't communicate well to ask the simple question myself. What should I expect. x-ray showed no fracture but doctor did not pick up on seriousness of abrasion which about an hour later I had a terrible case of the chills. About an hour after that I fell into bed, vomited 4 or 5 times and slept about 12 to 13 hours. my daughter insisted on taking me to emergency as she thought I had cellulitis. I write this from a hospital bed being flooded with antibiotics and possibly will be spending Thanksgiving here.

I wanted to say everyone was so kind, respectful and thoughtful and did make sure I had what I needed. I came in on a cane and they offered to get me a wheelchair, even though I said it was OK, they noticed I was having difficulty and actually did need one, and offered to get me an ice pack too. Just so caring! Everyone I encountered, and I so appreciated it!!

The appointment time was set the day before. I arrived early for the appointment and still had to wait 45 minutes after the appointment time before my child was taken back. The appointment time does not make sense if you're going to wait almost an hour.

But I went up and let them know and then they adjusted everything and got me back right away. The front desk staff was great; however, I would say the 3 staff members that I engaged with the most during this visit were nothing short of outstanding and represented the Wellstar "brand" very, very well. I think it was Kayla who brought me to the room first, amazing; then Jennifer was the NP, awesome; and then the young lady (I cannot remember her name?) who orchestrated and handled my x-rays, also equally amazing. They were all so professional, knowledgeable and exhibited such great empathy, as well as being just downright sweet. If I were in charge, I would make sure they all got pay raises. And, I think we were in and out in 90-minutes. What an amazing experience!

Story was contradictive as they didn't feel need to help remedy. Instead wanted me to start as a new patient when it was my 2nd in less than 24 hours. No concern for the wound as if me coming back was a problem. Some care. Figure they would want to get the infection out immediatly but instead asked me to start as if i wasn't there less than 24 hours before.
