About Jason Andersen, MD
Dr. Andersen grew up in Alpharetta, GA and received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University, where he was a four-year starter on the Division I men’s varsity soccer team. He then obtained his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine. Dr. Andersen went on to complete his orthopedic residency training at Wake Forest Baptist Health. He then completed an additional fellowship year of surgical training specializing in orthopedic sports medicine at OrthoCarolina.
Dr. Andersen focuses on the prevention and treatment of orthopedic conditions affecting patients of all ages. He performs many surgeries arthroscopically, in a minimally invasive fashion, which helps facilitate faster recovery and reduces pain for his patients. Dr. Andersen understands that each patient’s needs are different, and he aims to provide personalized and compassionate care to each and every patient he treats.
During his career, Dr. Andersen has been fortunate to serve as assistant team physician to various sports organizations, including Carolina Panthers (NFL), Charlotte Knights (Triple A White Sox affiliate), UNC Charlotte, Davidson College, and Georgia Highlands College. He has also served as head team physician for several high schools in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America, Georgia Orthopaedic Society and Southern Orthopaedic Association.

I did have to follow up because the medication was not called in to Express Scripts correctly and after asking for a 90 day supply, they called in the same exact 30 day supply with 3 refills which is not what Express Scripts requires. So I'm still waiting to hear back from them and hopefully they will resolve this tomorrow.

I mention this because that is something that can make a patient have an overall negative impression of a practice...not the case here.

Even though Dr. Andersen was called to the ER during our appointment time, all the patients waited and when he returned he still gave us the same care and time as usual. He did not rush through but took his time. I truly appreciated that and did not mind the wait. Some delays are expected to happen. We were told by the staff the reason for the delay while we waited.
