Dr. Asumda attended Bucknell University and earned his master’s in cell biology at Florida State University. He then transitioned to medical school at the University of Science, Arts and Technology. After medical school, he completed a year of postdoctoral cancer research fellowship at the Mayo Clinic and then went into clinical training. He completed his internal medicine residency training at the Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center followed by clinical genetics training at the Mayo Clinic.

This has been a breath of fresh air in an otherwise arduous process. The doctor, counselor (Julia), nurses, and front desk were very helpful and had a great attitude! It was so nice not to be rushed or dismissed. So far so good.

Everything was thorough. All of my questions were answered because he was so thorough. He gave me a great understanding of my daughter's condition and reassured me, just comfortability because it was a lot to find out what I was finding out. But the way, the approach that he took made me very, like, feeling safe about the next steps to take with my daughter's care. very professional and just made sure that I knew everything and allowed me to ask as many questions as I could or as I wanted. And he also took his time, took his time and let me know how important everything was. So it was amazing.
