Threatening to deny care if I prefer not to prepay a $71 payment seems unethical and I also question the legality. I am fortunate and have the ability to prepay without a problem, but it creates difficult accounting problems with an HSA and is significantly easier to pay the entire bill at once via HSA as you are not allowed to prepay for a service not yet received via HSA. I would not recommend Wellstar to others based on my experience here given the office said they would deny care if I did not prepay. Again the issue is not payment and I pay 100% of my hospital bills. The issue is requiring payment prior to a service rendered
