About Edward Vollrath, MD
Dr. Vollrath received his undergraduate degrees in biology and chemistry from Southern Methodist University before earning his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. His internship and residency were completed at the University of Kentucky in Lexington.
Dr. Vollrath has been in practice since 1995 and is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Previously, he served as president of medical staff at Wellstar Cobb Hospital. Dr. Vollrath was recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA)’s Bridges to Excellence program for his quality diabetes care and management.

i was left to work my way thru bad disconnected processes. This felt more like a bad a business struggling to to do their job and not a service focused on my needs. 1- PA left 2- no way to get my labs done sent to 3 different places that were either closed early or don't do labs for practices that cant do their own 3- Dr going to part time 4- unable to get physical scheduled 5- This experience has me reconsidering my and my families association with wellstar

When trying to call to make an appointment, nobody answers the phone to the point that you have to physically go to the location to try to get an appointment. Then when you get there, you find out that you can't get an appointment for over a year because they're so booked out, because they don't have enough doctors or staff members to run the office efficiently. This really needs to be looked at.

The primary care's office rates a 10 in all categories; the imaging center at Wellstar office is lucky to rate a 3 for the front office. The imaging center is too busy to help anybody even when they have no other patients.
