About Edward Vollrath, MD
Dr. Vollrath received his undergraduate degrees in biology and chemistry from Southern Methodist University before earning his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. His internship and residency were completed at the University of Kentucky in Lexington.
Dr. Vollrath has been in practice since 1995 and is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Previously, he served as president of medical staff at Wellstar Cobb Hospital. Dr. Vollrath was recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA)’s Bridges to Excellence program for his quality diabetes care and management.

The waiting room continues to be uncomfortably COLD. The chill was noticeable the second I walked through the entrance doors. This is at least the third time in at least 18 months that I've found this to be the case. For that reason, I carried a heavier sweater and was still chilled. I have not been waiting for extended periods of time nor am I there for any reason other than an annual checkup. The staff who work in the waiting area are wearing jackets because the area is so cold. I do not understand why this problem cannot be resolved to the satisfaction of everyone, staff, patients and providers.

This visit went really well. However, my last visit, the front desk was not walking the visiting room, the waiting room, and they left me sitting there for an hour and a half, which was strictly a front desk issue. They didn't clear the area. But the office is excellent. They're always, always perfect. The only problem I've ever had is that one visit prior to this visit. Thank you so much. And that was all front desk issue. Have a good day.
