It seemed Donna had not read my patient history, as she suggested I contact an ENT to discuss an ear tube. I've previously had a failed ear tube, lost 50% of my eardrum and needed corrective ear surgery with grafted scalp tissue and cartilage. I said an ENT will absolutely will not do another ear tube. She said in some adults, they do. I said no, I have already had this done and it didn't heal and I needed surgery to repair it. She was also surprised that I mentioned I am pregnant - and then remarked, "You are very skinny." I was not at urgent care for any sort of assessment regarding my pregnancy and found it odd that there was any commentary provided on my body or size. Thankfully, Donna did ultimately address why I was there by switching my antibiotic for strep throat after not feeling better. Overall, she does need to take a look at patient history and withhold personal commentary on bodies and issues that touch other specialities.

The staff in every department were excellent, but the amount of paperwork I had to read and sign was overwhelming. I am in urgent care, running a fever and I have to read and agree to dictation machines, video, and even though I am in Wellstar there might be non employees that I have to pay separately. It was a lot to try to read through and make sense of when I was definitely not in the right mind. I cannot imagine someone else in extreme pain trying to make sense of it. Surely there is a better way to do that or to condense it to make more concise.

Overall, she does need to take a look at patient history and withhold personal commentary on bodies and issues that touch other specialities.
