The PA (Elizabeth I think was her name) was very knowledgeable and able to answer my questions thoughtfully and clearly. She was helpful and able to give answers that the doctor was unable to provide. However, the doctor came in and stated that he was just filling in for the doctor who retired and he isn't up to date on the latest technology and that he treated adults for the last 20 years so he was referring us out to Atlanta. I asked him how long a typical procedure like this takes and he stated that once the procedure is done her hemangioma would not return...not at all answering my actual question. When I clarified with him, he stated the doctor he is referring me to is up to date on all the information and can answer that question. Over all, I felt like this doctor's visit was a complete waste of our time/ money/ and time off of work. It got us no answers other than what we already knew (that she needed the hemangioma removed).

Its a pity that the nurse did not make any attempt to pronounce my name in the first place and the Doctor was very curt and did not spend time to discuss my issue in detail and I was not happy with the visit. I am PhD and research faculty at AU!!!! and I had more questions about my issues.

The in office visit was relatively easy. The downside was trying to make an appointment for the actual visit. I had to call three different times to make the visit because my daughter's referral from her pediatrician kept getting lost through fax. We were given three different fax numbers for her referral to be sent to.

this was a different surgeon then I saw the first one and he cut me off from speaking and totally disregarded any of my concerns and complications. Jumped to the conclusion that Insurance; wasn't gonna pay for this and he wasn't going to write it up for them to pay for it. However, he was most gracious enough to tell me that he would get an estimate together and send it to me if I wanted to pay for it myself. I was sent this physician and group to begin with due to complications of my health that caused major complications from a surgery. I had had that needed to be corrected. Was arrogant and then proceeded to go out my hall as I was to get dressed with his interns, not speaking very highly of me and my appearance.
