Individual performing vitals (I'm guessing the medical assistant named Star) came off cold and just seemed as if myself and my child being there was a burden. My disabled child became upset getting his vitals dint and she kept scoffing and glaring. It was also noticed when she was in the procedure room wiping off used equipment she had AirPods in and was on the phone carrying on inappropriate conversation. Aside from this, the nurses were very comforting even with my son being upset and they were very informative and kind. The visits with Dr Houk are also pleasant and reassuring, he is just a great provider for my baby boy! Thank you! ??

Because of the difficulty in scheduling appointments with this provider, I would definitely suggest someone go elsewhere. It is also extremely difficult to get in touch with the specific scheduler and office for this provider. It is definitely not a streamlined experience. However, once you are able to see the provider, the provider and staff (i.e. nurses and physicians assistants) are very attentive and easy to communicate with.

Doctor was wonderful, nurses was great, very nice, friendly, covered everything. My only complaint is you cannot get in touch with y'all. Y'all have no office number. And even the pharmacy was saying that we went to the hospital to get these prescriptions because that's the number y'all gave them was a hospital number and they was all confused too. And I can't call y'all because it's just a hospital number. So y'all definitely need a phone number to y'all's office. That's the only complaint I have, thank you.

The staff in endocrinology is very good in specifics to the nursing staff. They're excellent. The physician, though, I don't see how he's even a physician, to be honest with you. He's extremely crass, rude, and quite egotistical. I really feel that he needs to maybe retire. You guys need to hire someone new, or he needs serious lessons in proper patient care and how he speaks to families and his patients.

I was at your office for almost two hours waiting to see a doctor that was overbooked, that didn't have time for us. And once we did get into the actual room to see the doctor, he walks in and was only in there three minutes. So I don't know what kind of service y'all expect or are giving, but this is inadequate on every level. I'm sorry, y'all said he's the only specialist in the area. Well, then don't overbook because everybody in the waiting room is complaining about how long they have been there. So you got my feedback.

Dr. Houk is an amazing doctor and amazing provider. However, Wellstar's system upgrade completely compromised the care of my daughter and lost her appointment. So getting back in the system was very frustrating. And telephone numbers through your hospital at Augusta Children's Hospital is a nightmare. And I strongly suggest you upgrade your phone tree in your real person response availability. Thank you.

Dr. Houk was thorough and communicated well in plain English. He was comforting and accommodating. His team was very patient and pleasant. I believe we finally have the right Dr. for our daughter. My wife and I were truly excited after the appointment. Thank you Wellstar!

Doctor was wonderful, nurses was great, very nice, friendly, covered everything. My only complaint is you cannot get in touch with y'all. Y'all have no office number. And even the pharmacy was saying that we went to the hospital to get these prescriptions because that's the number y'all gave them was a hospital number and they was all confused too. And I can't call y'all because it's just a hospital number. So y'all definitely need a phone number to y'all's office. That's the only complaint I have, thank you.

The staff in endocrinology is very good in specifics to the nursing staff. They're excellent. The physician, though, I don't see how he's even a physician, to be honest with you. He's extremely crass, rude, and quite egotistical. I really feel that he needs to maybe retire. You guys need to hire someone new, or he needs serious lessons in proper patient care and how he speaks to families and his patients.

Typically our visits last 30-45 minutes. I'm not sure what was going on today, but we were there for 2 hours and 15 minutes. It was too long.

We really appreciated the new effort to make our child as comfortable as possible during his lab work. Having the staff bring in toys and having extra people available to help keep him still was extremely helpful.

Hi, my visit with my little boy, he is a type one diabetic. Dr. Houk is absolutely phenomenal. Nurse Tracy is absolutely phenomenal. Nurse practitioner Jake is absolutely phenomenal. I mean, this is like a dream team, absolutely. Do not let them go, hold onto them, support them, lift them up, give them whatever they need. These people are absolutely amazing. Thanks.

Because of the difficulty in scheduling appointments with this provider, I would definitely suggest someone go elsewhere. It is also extremely difficult to get in touch with the specific scheduler and office for this provider. It is definitely not a streamlined experience. However, once you are able to see the provider, the provider and staff (i.e. nurses and physicians assistants) are very attentive and easy to communicate with.

When dealing with life changing diseases and disorders, finding health providers that actually listen to you, help educate you, and work with your family as a team is invaluable. It truly makes the difference and helps to give us peace of mind when it comes to the care that our son receives. Dr. Houk and his staff have been amazing every step of the way.

Individual performing vitals (I'm guessing the medical assistant named Star) came off cold and just seemed as if myself and my child being there was a burden. My disabled child became upset getting his vitals dint and she kept scoffing and glaring. It was also noticed when she was in the procedure room wiping off used equipment she had AirPods in and was on the phone carrying on inappropriate conversation. Aside from this, the nurses were very comforting even with my son being upset and they were very informative and kind. The visits with Dr Houk are also pleasant and reassuring, he is just a great provider for my baby boy! Thank you! ??
