Carrie is wonderful!!! She actually listens and tries to help. She tries to find alternative treatment solutions even when my insurance thinks they are smarter than actual medical professionals. I appreciate her so much! However, as both a patient and an employee of WellStar I think it's extremely rude and doesn't represent an atmosphere of caring when I am presented with a bill before I even set foot inside the office!!! I hadn't even talked to the first person in the office before I was sent a bill. Then when I checked in I was expected to pay before it was even discussed why I was there or even say the first person. This does not foster an environment of caring or make the patient feel like their health is coming first!!!! I realize this is not the staffs fault and the receptionist was extremely nice but this policy is terrible!!!
