About Brianne Anderson, MD
Dr. Brianne Anderson, a New Orleans native, is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist who provides comprehensive healthcare for women at every stage of life. She is committed to delivering personalized, patient-centered care, addressing a wide range of obstetric and gynecologic needs—from preventive screenings and family planning to pregnancy care, midlife health, and beyond.
Dr. Anderson has a special interest in high-risk prenatal care, contraception, menstrual disorder management, and evaluation and treatment for a variety of common and complex gynecologic conditions. She provides a wide range of services, including Robotics and minimally invasive surgical procedures. With a focus on both the medical and emotional aspects of women's health, Dr. Anderson strives to deliver compassionate, tailored care to meet each patient’s unique needs. She believes women deserve a physician who listens and takes time to understand their concerns and desires. It is her goal to build trusted relationships with her patients and provide clear education, so they feel confident and supported in their healthcare decisions.
The desire to care for others in a professional setting was a childhood dream of Dr. Anderson’s. This dream was turned into action when she witnessed her mother’s battle with breast cancer. “Seeing the impact her gynecologist had with her diagnosis and care beyond her treatment made me want to be that champion for someone else.” Those moments shaped her desire to focus on women’s health.
When specialized care is needed, she collaborates closely with multidisciplinary specialists across Wellstar to ensure coordinated, seamless care for every patient.
Dr. Anderson earned her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. She completed residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi, where she received comprehensive training in obstetrical and gynecologic care. She earned her undergraduate degree from Howard University in Washington, DC.
Dr. Anderson is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is affiliated with Wellstar North Fulton Medical Center.
Outside of work, Dr. Anderson enjoys spending time with her family, staying active, and being involved in her community.
