I made an appointment online. On the day before the appointment, I get a call that the doctor won't be in and I'll now have an appointment an hour later with a different person - I had a meeting I could not miss so we rescheduled for later that same day. Also prior to the appointment, I received an estimate for my visit of about $475. I have insurance, so I had to call customer service. They were able to apply the insurance and told me I would now owe $30. I checked in online and paid the $30 prior to the appointment. To add, the system had me check in again when my appointment was changed. The visit itself went smooth but it was brought up that I should not have paid the $30 as a simple physical is covered by insurance. I was told it was applied wrong in your system but I could get a refund. They said I couldn't get a refund at the checkout counter because I did not pay the day of in office. They said I would have to call the customer service number. I called the same day and the person said I couldn't get a refund until insurance is processed 30 to 45 days from now. How frustrating. At no fault of my own my appointment was incorrectly applied. I don't understand how I could have received a refund if I paid in office same day but can't online same day especially when Wellstar made the mistake! Now I have to continually follow up with you all for a refund which hopefully I will actually get back.

I've seen the same provider several times over the past couple of years and it's always very pleasant. The staff are great, everything flows smoothly and I'm seen on time. I feel very lucky to live so close to such a critical organization. Dr B, as I refer to her is my go to person when I don't need to see a specialist. She's always professional, attentive and patient. I couldn't ask for better care.
