We always have very positive experiences at Wellstar ECHP. This particular instance exceeded my expectations. Both the nurse (Angela I believe) and Dr. Kashlan offered a highly personalized experience. It felt as if we were visiting our own personal family physician. On this particular day, we couldn't get in to my daughter's pediatrician's office bc they had no appointments available. The experience was very comparable to the compassionate care we would've received at our long-time pediatrician's office. I am also an employee of Wellstar, previously an employee of Emory, and have an extensive background in management, patient and family-centered care, quality, process improvement, and bioethics. All this to say, I'm picky. So when I say this visit exceeded my expectations, it's a high compliment. Well done to the ECHP team!

When my blood pressure was checked, it was high, and I asked a few questions about blood pressure, and the provider was nice to answer those questions, but I feel like the blood pressure should have been addressed more to bring it down while I was in there. It was like 167, I believe, while I was in there, and I was worried about my blood pressure, and I just didn't feel like it was addressed as seriously as I wanted it to be.

They quickly found the life-threatening problem. That is a good thing! The notes said this: "He walked into the urgent care in severe pain, screaming." I am not a screamer. I am sure I was wimpering. The pain was severe. They reduced it quickly!
