I was grateful to have access to Wellstar Urgent care. I recently became ill after after traveling. I called urgent care because I am a Wellstar patient. I knew my medical records were readily available. After a physical examination, the NP proceeded to order some tests,checked the results, and diagnosed my problem. She then ordered medications and gave me follow-up instructions as well.

The front desk we employee was great. Nurse Gigi was so nice! She was warm and I felt she cared about me as she questioned me and listened to my symptoms. NP James was friendly, competent, and informative. She also made me feel seen and cared for. This is my first choice for urgent care in the future.

I felt rushed while being examined by the provider. She told me that she would return and answer any further questions that I may have. She did not return. She was supposed to give me an steroid injection, the triage nurse gave the injection, instead. I was given my discharge documents on my way from the restroom. Overall, not an experience that I would want to be involved with again. All other parties were excellent in executing their jobs. If I need urgent care in the future, I will probably seek it out somewhere else.

The nurse practitioner and the medical assistant have great bedside manners, but I would say, being an employee of WellStar, I am very disappointed on how long it took the radiologist to read my x-ray. It took them approximately three and a half hours for them to tell the nurse practitioner my x-ray results. I had left the facility before I could get my x-ray results. That is not acceptable, and especially if I am a WellSTAR employee.
