Sometimes taking care of you is the best way to take care of business. WellStar’s Executive Health Program offers a variety of diagnostic and preventative healthcare services to provide the best possible care to fit your schedule, company and lifestyle. We’re available when you are.
The Executive Health Check is a thorough preventative and diagnostic exam that emphasizes healthy lifestyles and risk factor management. The health check targets and identifies numerous medical conditions using the latest treatment technology, medical imaging and in-office lab services. Together, in just one day, we’ll map out a customized health strategy to help you stay well, get well and live well.
Your ability to perform or carry out what is required is one of the reasons why you’re an executive. You execute. For just one day, let someone else do it for you. The health benefits are worth the effort.
Executive Health Facilities
On the day of your Executive Health appointment, you will have access to an array of services and tools to ensure you are able to “stay in touch.” For the day, you will have a private office equipped with Internet access, a direct phone and fax line, as well as cable television. The Executive Health exam room is just next door to your private office and your private restroom. You will have everything you need at your fingertips to stay in touch with your home and office.
Individual Health Check
In one day, during one appointment, you’ll receive a complete physical exam – a year’s worth of check-ups, tests, and scans performed one-on-one with a WellStar physician. All WellStar Executive Health physicians are experienced and board certified, and you may choose a female or male physician. At the conclusion of your Executive Health Check, you will receive a bound copy of your test results and help with referrals when necessary.
WellStar Health Place
After your Executive Health visit, management of your lifestyle strategy is essential. WellStar Health Place offers you another avenue to achieve your goals. All Executive Health program participants receive a complimentary 30-day Health Place membership. This 55,000-square-foot center is located on the WellStar Kennestone Regional Medical Center campus. There, wellness professionals will work with you to develop a customized program, based on your goals. Health Place is staffed by degreed exercise specialists, licensed and registered dietitians, and licensed massage therapists. Corporate membership packages are also available. Call (770) 793-7300 for more information or visit www.wellstarhealthplace.org.
Are the programs covered by health insurance?
The Executive Health Program doesn’t file insurance for the Basic Health Check package. Payment is required at the time of visit unless previous billing arrangements have been made with your company. Additional testing may or may not be covered. We encourage you to contact your health insurance provider regarding coverage for additional tests. We will assist you with this process if needed.
Does the WellStar Executive Health Program conflict with my primary care provider?
The WellStar Executive Health Program does not conflict with nor replace your primary care physician. The Executive Health Check is a thorough preventive and diagnostic exam, which emphasizes healthy lifestyles and risk factor management. Each client receives a written report from the physician to include specific findings and recommendations for follow-up and health maintenance. A copy of your health plan and test results will be given to you upon completion of the Executive Health Check. We will also forward a copy of these results to your primary care physician, if requested. The WellStar Executive Health Team will be available to both you and your primary care physician for any questions that may ensue.
What will I need?
You will need comfortable athletic shoes and loose-fitting clothes with no wire or metal. This will ensure your utmost comfort for the day. If additional tests that may be covered by your healthcare insurance are necessary, you will need to bring a copy of your insurance card. If possible, bring a copy of your most recent physical examination results.
How far in advance should I schedule my appointment?
You should schedule your Executive Health Check about four to six weeks in advance by calling (770) 793-7300. Once your appointment is scheduled, you will receive a detailed health history questionnaire to complete prior to your appointment. This will be reviewed prior to your appointment to determine if services offered during the Executive Health Check should be further tailored to meet your health needs. Depending on the need for further testing as recommended by the WellStar Executive Health physician, the additional tests may be conducted on subsequent days.
Executive Health Checks are conducted at 700 Church Street across from WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta. For more information or to make an appointment, call (770) 793-7300.
