Community Hospice

Tranquility at Cobb Hospital is one of two inpatient facilities of WellStar Community Hospice. The other is Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain. We also provide home-based care in six counties. Tranquility at Cobb Hospital is an 18-bed facility that has delivered competent, compassionate end-of-life care since 1998.

For us, hospice is not a place but a set of commitments and beliefs. We honor the whole patient and family and deliver respectful, appropriate care by reducing pain and enhancing comfort. Our program is fully associated with WellStar Health System. As such we have the most competent and compassionate doctors, nurses, medical team and support staff of any hospice in the area.

Tranquility at Cobb Hospital Guide

At Tranquility at Cobb Hospital, care is a collaborative effort that addresses the needs of the whole patient and family. Our physicians lead a team that includes the patient’s own doctors as well as our specialized nurses, clinical care partners, bereavement professionals, chaplains and social workers who provide all-important emotional support to patients and their loved ones. That collaboration extends to patients and families who partner with the hospice team to determine the appropriate level of care and help develop their own care plans.
