Dr. Li Liu received his medical degree from Tianjin Medical University and his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from The University of Eastern Finland.
He completed his neurology residency and clinical neurophysiology fellowship at The State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, New York. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Neurology. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology.
Dr. Liu is currently in practice with WellStar Neurology and Headache Center.
Prior to his neurology residency, Dr. Liu worked as a research fellow at The Taub Institute for Research on Alzheimer's Disease and the Aging Brain, Columbia University Medical Center, New York. His research on the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease and related neurodegenerative diseases led to a total of 21 research publications, including articles published in highly prestigious journals, such as Nature Neuroscience, and Nature Communication. In 2009, Dr. Liu received New Investigator Award from The Alzheimer’s Association

Dr. Thomas Holmes received his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine. Dr. Holmes completed his residency with Harvard University at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Birgham and Women’s Hospital. He also completed his fellowship with Emory University Hospital with an emphasis in Epilepsy.
Dr. Holmes is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Clinical Neurophysiology and Neurology. Dr. Thomas Holmes is currently in practice with Wellstar Marietta Neurology and Headache Center.
