As a rheumatologist, she has provided me with a staggering depth of information along with solutions for my conditions while simultaneously offering sincere concern and care. I rarely find specialists who, despite their expertise and knowledge, have been able to make me feel seen and understood like Dr. Schiopu has. She blends aptitude with compassion, and to me, that makes her a valuable asset to the rheumatology department, the hospital, and any medical students who are learning under her. I wish everyone who needs continued care for chronic illness could have as positive of an experience with their providers as I do with Dr. Schiopu.

The nurse was very helpful and thorough and was also pleasant. Dr Schiopu was very thorough and detailed asking many questions and examined me thoroughly. She explained several things I had not known and reviewed my history and tests for the last 2 years. She ordered extensive bloodwork and had me scheduled for a follow up in a month. Very knowledgeable and patient oriented.

First the PA appeared disheveled she didn't know how to spell or even recognize conditions in my chart. Also didn't know how to spell my medication! As me to spell it for her. The doctor spoke so fast difficult to keep up. Said she had no information on my history. Said they never get it. I informed her that I filled out the questionnaire on line. She thought it was odd I wasn't on more medication at my age! Said she really could not help with my condition. Medication isn't safe over the long term. Told me to eat organic or grow my own food. Not to do work that causes my pain. House and yard work. To hire help! I'm retired live alone living on social security! She wanted X-rays in her words because she like to look at X-rays. Wanted blood work. I have had blood work. I left the appointment discouraged disappointed and angry. With no faith that there is any help for me. Worst doctors appointment ever.
