Dr. Adstam has been one of the most diligent and collaborative physicians I've ever worked with. From our very first appointment, he treated my case with curiosity and urgency rather than keeping everything contained to his own specialty. After our initial visit back in January, he personally called me to explain that he had already reached out to other specialists experienced with the kind of bony defect I have to discuss my case and make sure we weren't missing anything. That level of initiative and coordination stood out immediately. Throughout my care, he has consistently gone beyond the exam room by bringing in external resources, referencing tools and literature to help me understand treatment decisions, and making sure I'm informed rather than simply instructed. At my 5/22 appointment, when discussing a recommendation from another specialist, he reached out directly during the appointment because he wanted to fully understand their reasoning and be able to answer my concerns accurately. What has impressed me most is not just his knowledge but his diligence, humility, and commitment to finding answers. He doesn't default to "that's outside my scope" or make patients coordinate everything themselves. He actively builds connections, follows through, and makes complex care feel collaborative. That level of thoughtfulness and follow-through has been exceptional.

I was very impressed with the care that I received at this neurologist's office. Everybody was very kind. The staff was wonderful. The doctor was very knowledgeable and very helpful and kind. I have seen other neurologists with WellSTAR for my daughter and the doctor was curt and fast and kicked us out of the office very quickly and did not help her whatsoever. That was not the experience that I had with Dr. A. He helped me completely, listened to all of my worries and everything I had to say and feel and he helped me completely. I left the office feeling very heard and very cared for. I left there knowing that I have a doctor that really is interested in me and the way that I am feeling and is interested in helping me.

He listened to my comments and to my concerns following a personal medical challenge that unexpectedly occurred earlier this year. He shared what we will do to resolve this medical challenge. I believe that we are progressing to finding out the root cause of my medical issue.
