Lightning Talks with Real-Time Crowdsourcing
The format for these sessions consists of a 5-minute lightning talk (with a maximum of 3 slides) regarding an innovative practice or advancement in clinical ethics that others can learn from and apply in their own clinical ethics program. Each lightning talk will be followed by a 3-minute crowdsourcing component in which the audience will offer feedback for improving the practice or advancement utilizing a polling software. Solicited themes are listed above. Each thematically related set of lightning talks and polling will conclude with 20 minutes of Q&A. A select few lightning talks will be considered for a podcast that will be completed after the Unconference.
Peer-to-Peer Solution-Sharing
For these sessions, presenters will briefly describe in a small group setting a programmatic or systems challenge that (a) their clinical ethics program or (b) the field of clinical ethics generally currently faces. Attendees for each group will discuss these challenges and develop solutions. Presenters will report out to all Unconference attendees on the solutions developed.
The deadline for abstract submissions is Friday December 31, 2021. Please email abstracts and inquiries to [email protected].
Individuals may submit up to 2 abstracts in each presentation category. There is a limit of 1 presenter for each abstract submission.
Notifications will be sent by January 31, 2022. Presenters must be able to attend the Unconference in person to deliver their presentation.
