WellScreen events are presented by WellStar Corporate & Community Health and include the following:
 
Comprehensive Metabolic Panel
Tests include: glucose, sodium, potassium, total calcium, total protein and more. Twelve-hour fast required (No food; drink plenty of water only).
Cost: $15
 
Lipid Panel
Tests include: total Cholesterol, Triglycerides, HDL, LDL, and Cholesterol/HDL ratio.
Twelve-hour fast required (No food; drink plenty of water only).
Cost: $25
 
Thyroid Screening
Tests include: T4 (Thyroxine) and TSH. No fasting required.  Drink plenty of water only.
Cost: $15
 
Hemoglobin A1C
Hemoglobin A1C is a blood test that gives the patient an idea of their average blood glucose control for the past 2-3 months. It can help to determine if a diabetic’s treatment plan is working correctly, and it can allow a pre-diabetic to monitor his/her blood sugar levels for abnormalities.  No fasting required.  Drink plenty of water only.

Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) Test
Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) is a protein released into a man's blood by his prostate gland. A PSA test measures the amount of the prostate-specific antigen in the blood.  A doctor’s order is required.
Cost: $30

Bone Density Screening
A bone density screening involves taking a quick and painless x-ray of the heel and can help determine your risk for osteoporosis. You will receive a copy of your results, which can be forwarded confidentially to your physician for follow-up. Please be aware if you are pregnant you are not eligible to participate in this screening.
Cost: $35; $30 for Health Place and Good Life Club Members.

Personal Wellness Profile
Personal Wellness Profiles are offered during our WellScreen events, and your lab results can be combined to give you an even more in-depth assessment of your overall wellness.Your Personal Wellness Profile will provide you with an educational report that is custom designed to help you evaluate your current lifestyle, identify health risks, and decide where and how to make improvements to live a life well-lived.
Areas profiled include:

  • Coronary risk
  • Nutrition
  • Fitness
  • Stress
  • Substance use
  • Safety

Your report will also give you an overall wellness score based on the number of good health indicators.  Cost: $20
