WellStar Homecare Services, accredited by the Joint Commission of Healthcare Organizations, supports the physician’s role in patient care in a variety of ways:
A service to help recovery following a serious illness such as stroke or heart failure or following a major surgery, including hip replacement and open heart. Skilled nurses and therapists provide needed medical skilled care. Home health aides offer personal care.
Staffed by qualified pharmacists and nurses to assist in managing infusion therapy in the home setting. They provide IV antimicrobial therapy, hydration, hyperalimentation, and respiratory and cardiac support medications.
Provides durable medical equipment and supplies to be used in the home. Respiratory and nutrition services also are offered to support you through illness progression, and hopefully, improvement. WellStar respiratory therapists and clinical dietitians provide value-added service to the homecare experience.
A homecare program offering care for children of all ages and their moms. Nurses and therapists offer skilled care, infusion therapy and help with equipment such as phototherapy and apnea monitors to assist in a home recovery.
Provides the care needed to give your loved ones peace of mind during a hospitalization. Some of the most beneficial patient care is provided by the personal attention of a sitter/companion or personal care assistant.
