Through its affiliation with the Atlanta Regional Community Clinical Oncology Program, the WellStar Cancer Program offers the latest cancer prevention clinical trials, including the Study of Tamoxifen and Raloxifene (STAR), a breast cancer prevention study for post-menopausal women, and the Selenium and Vitamin E Cancer Prevention Trial (SELECT), the largest ever prostate cancer prevention study for men age 55 or older (50 or older for African-American men). These trials are a critical step for identifying cancer prevention methods.
