In the cardiac catheterization labs at WellStar Cobb and WellStar Kennestone hospitals, skilled cardiologists provide quick and accurate diagnosis of blocked and diseased arteries that cause heart attacks. Day or night, the cath labs are available for emergency imaging to help diagnosis and treat heart disease.
WellStar Kennestone Hospital maintains a dedicated electrophysiology (EP) cath lab to diagnose and treat heart rhythm problems. Specially trained Cardiologists, Electrophysiologists, map the heartbeat's circuitry and use a variety of tools, including medications and implanted devices, to restore normal rhythm.
