Dr. Kim received a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Michigan and a Doctorate of Medicine from the former Medical College of Georgia (now Georgia Health Sciences University). He completed a combined anatomic/clinical pathology residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a fellowship in hematopathology at the Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, Calif.
Dr. Kim is board certified in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology and hematopathology. He is an active committee member of the American Society for Clinical Pathology.
