Dr. Toni E. Coombs, a resident of Cobb County, completed her undergraduate degree in biology at Swarthmore College in Swarthmore, Penn. She received her medical degree in 1984 at Brown University in Providence, R.I., and completed her residency in at Saint John Hospital in Detroit, Mich., in 1987. Dr. Coombs is board certified in Internal Medicine by American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians.

She has received numerous accolades including the Physicians Recognition Award from the American Medical Association in 1993 and 1996 and received an Honorary Doctor of Medical Sciences degree from Morehouse School of Medicine in 2000. She was recognized as one of Atlanta’s Top Doctors by Atlanta Magazine in 2001 and 2007. In addition, she has received the NCQA Recognition for Quality Diabetes Care in 2007.
