Dr. Alan Benedict

Dr. Benedict received his medical degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine. He completed his internship in internal medicine at North Carolina Baptist Hospital and his ophthalmology residency at Wake Forest University Eye Center, where he was chief resident of the Ophthalmology program. He is board certified in Ophthalmology and completed post graduate training for LASIK Surgery at The Emory Vision Correction Center. He has taught his cataract surgery technique to other ophthalmologists in the area, and his special areas of interest include cataract and refractive surgery. He is the first Cobb County based doctor to place the implantable collamer (ICL) for treatment of a wider range of refractive errors than LASIK.
