Dr. Milele B. Francis received her bachelor’s degree in biology from Spellman College in Atlanta, Ga. She returned to her home state to attend medical school at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worchester, Mass. Upon completion of medical school, Dr. Francis and her husband moved to Hartford, Conn., where she did her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. She worked for two years in private practice in Connecticut before relocating to Georgia. Dr. Francis has been at WellStar South Cobb Ob-Gyn since 2004.
Dr. Francis takes a special interest in preventative women’s health and education. In particular, she enjoys working with adolescents and young adults in the areas of STD prevention and awareness, and reproductive health issues.
She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and a fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Francis also serves on the board of the Spina Bifida Association of Georgia.
Dr. Francis enjoys spending tie with her husband and children, playing tennis and golf, and reading fiction novels. In addition, she is cultivating a love of gardening. She and her family live in Smyrna, Georgia.
