Jeffrey S. Cohen, M.D. graduated with honors from the University of California, Riverside in 1988 with a B.S. in Psychobiology. He went on to earn his M.D. at Eastern Virginia Medical School in 1992. His general surgery residency was completed at the University of California San Diego, including a final year as both Administrative and Chief Resident in Surgery. Dr. Cohen then acquired specialty training in Colon and Rectal Surgery at the Lahey Clinic in Boston. Dr. Cohen has published and presented his research both nationally and internationally.
Dr. Cohen has been a pioneer in minimally invasive robotic surgery. He has performed more robotic colon resections than any other surgeon in Georgia. Dr. Cohen prides himself on compassionate patient-centered surgical care for all patients with colon and rectal problems.
